Any comments???
This year marks the 80th year of service of this iconic American aerobatic airplane. Why don’t you, developers, make a new livery for the Pitts to celebrate this event? If you need any suggestions I could give you a lot of new liveries examples. Thank you.
- Pitts S-2 (VFR without looking at the GPS, no autopilot, and complicated ground roll characteristics make every flight a challenge)
- Baron 58 (because the steam gauges, VOR / NDB navigation)
- EC-135 (well, because we all need a helicopter in our live)
You surely would appreciate this pics…
The one and only Pitts Special S2B!!!
MD-80 would be awesome!
The larger runway must be a grass field…
In Italy, Valbrembo airfield has a large grass runway, not a concrete one like the one in Aerofly, please fix it.
Sorry if this thread had negative impact on this forum. My knowledge about taildragger aircrafts has become more profound and I actually landed the Pitts without any ground loop(no assistance on). Thank you for your help and constructive feedback. I'm thinking about deleting this thread. May I?
I agree with the other pals on this thread. Discussing is always good to learn and improve our experience on this fantastic flight simulator. Only one thing I would do to this thread: just adding in caps lock to the title the word SOLVED, so who looks at the title could immediately acknowledge that this plane is not the worst, but one which requires a steeper learning curve and which gives great satisfaction once you train and get the correct philosophy to pilot it.
You mean, is the violent bouncing during ground loop realistic and does it happen in real life? If it is true, I’m not complaining. But I have a concern:in analog controls, the rudder control is right under the throttle control, and it is just impossible to use both of them simultaneously. This makes Truncana ’s procedures literally impossible to achieve on my cell phone. Please consider to improve design of control elements.
Nothing to say about control layout (I use inclination mode), but about bouncing: did you see my video? If you do the landing procedure correctly, the plane would not bounce.
@Asiana312: Thank you for your feedback. You are absolutely right, the Pitts is very hard to land on mobile devices. As other users mentioned, the real Pitts is indeed very difficult to lahnd and we tried to set it up just like in reality, to give the user a feeling on how difficult they are to fly.
So we always have to decide: Do we make all aircraft easy to fly so users don't get frustrated or do we set them up as they would fly in reality. It's always a difficult choice for us.
Thank you for your wonderful work on realism. Please remain on the realistic side for our beloved simulator. The Pitts flies and land wonderfully realistic. It’s perfect.

Another useful source is the Pitts manual. If you read carefully you will find the correct technique to land this marvellous airplane.
Remember to gently use the brakes in the final phase of the landing run.
I forgot to say that when on the ground you have to mantain the stick at the climbing position (all the way toward you), this to increase load and give authority to the tail wheel.
Well, I’m a fan of the Pitts, as you can see from my profile pic, and I have to say that’s not correct what you have written. On landing you have to flare at three/six feet’s from the ground until the plane stalls, so you can lose a lot of speed. Then, when on the ground the plane goes straight for a few seconds then tend to turn on one side, now you have to use a lot of rudder to get it straight and then, when you feel that rudder movements are too wide you have to gently act on breaks, only 20/25% could be ok, at the same time use rudder and in few seconds the plane would be stopped. As of taxing you have to move really slowly spooling up the engine a little (15/20%) to start moving and then back to idle while you move. As soon as I can I will add a video for you.
This would be awesome!
No A350 teasers today but we've got a new trailer for Aerofly FS Global with a lot of the new content that we added this year.
Thank you guys for your support and feedback!

Awesome video!!! Thank you IPACS for your work and your support, we love you!
admin Ok I checked Aerofly FS 2022 and there the Sopwith Camel has no bugs. Please use that flight model in Global.
I will download them one by one and tell you. admin
