New Update adds A319, Challenges and more...

    • Offizieller Beitrag

A new major update adds the Airbus A319, new challenges and improvements to the Copilot, Flight-Info and controller support and adds a new bottom Info-Bar when you use a controller.

The update is now available for the Aerofly FS 4 Steam version and Aerofly FS Global Android version, with the iOS version following very soon.

    • Added language support for Portuguese, Spanish, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Swedish, Thai and Turkish
    • Added new Airbus A319 aircraft with 35+ liveries in the aircraft DLC (see below)
    • Added many new custom made airports with 3D buildings (see below)
    • Added new Challenges with visual guides that can be completed and an improved menus
    • Added new flight-information variants: Basic and Advanced with round speed indicator and mini-map or Classic (same as before)
    • Added new flight-info bubbles to show information such as challenge targets, copilot modes, g-load, stall warnings
    • Added new optional info-bar at the bottom of the screen which shows the relevant controller actions
    • Changed copilot and added new cruise mode (see below)
    • Changed improved controller support
    • Changed main menu, missions menu, pilot career and settings menus to improve accessibility
    • Changed overlay view button can now optionally be used to cycle through favorite views instead of opening the view menu overlay

    Copilot Improvements

We've improved the simulated copilot to assist you better during the flight and to offer an easier option to maintain your present flight path and manage the airplane for you when you go away from the keyboard.

    • Added new copilot cruise mode: Left/right and up/down inputs on the controller or on the copilot menu overlay can be used change the target heading and altitude.
    • Changed copilot basic mode: Left/right and up/down inputs change the attitude of the aircraft
    • Changed copilot takeoff/route/landing modes: Now fully automatic
    • Copilot mode is shown at the top of the screen, showing that it is active and focusing all relevant information in one place
    • Improved copilot assistance if enabled in the assistance settings

    New Airbus A319

The Airbus A319 is the third member of the A320 family and has a slightly shorter fuselage compared to the A320. Just like the A321 this aircraft comes with two engine options: the CFM56 and IAE V2500 engines, which depends on the airline livery that you select. Some liveries also have the Sharklets installed.

In terms of features the A319 is very similar to the A320 or A321 but of course this aircraft is the lightest variant of the family and has a shorter takeoff and landing distance, ideal for smaller airports.

    Features

The A319 feature list is available on our website:

  • The copilot is ruined in my opinion. It’s all automatic. Why can’t it be like an autopilot system. The old version was way better. The copilot randomly ditches me down to 1000 feet every time. It rarely works on helicopters. It always causes the helicopter you’re flying to over stress the engines and over speed. What I don’t get is that when you turn on course mode it screws with your altitude completely then you have to switch over to the other mode to switch altitudes then hop back on course mode.

  • This is my small report about the new 1.04 update:

    - Enjoyed flying the new A319 and thanks for the new liveries, specially Latam and Avianca!
    - Loved the new Challenges feature, already did some of them. Very concerned about a discovery in Aliens mission :)
    - The flight-info bubbles are very useful in FS Global, thanks! they provide more context of the actual activity/procedure, like when using autopilot
    - Thanks for the new cruise mode in autopilot! I liked the new simplified version of autopilot, maybe we can have in the configuration setup a selection of the simplified version (the new one) and an advanced one (the old one)
    - Thanks for "view button can now optionally be used to cycle through favorite views", excellent, it is much fluid now to change views in FS Global

In general very satisfied with the changes in this new version, thank you very much to the Ipacs team.

    Best regards, Juan

  • This is quite a shame that static aircrafts parked at 3D airports are not very realistically chosen. (E. G. easyJet aircrafts at Singapore)

Yes, it is incredibly odd to see more than a dozen Lufthansa A340s on the ground in Amsterdam. The glaring lack of aprons at EHAM is really annoying. There are no guidance lines so it is nearly impossible to park precisely. The airport deserves a through rework.

Kind regards, good day, and bon vol!

  • A personal review on the 1.04 update:

    • The A319 is great, although it could use some touch-ups when it comes to cockpit texturing.
    • I'm still a little bit confused on how to use the new co-pilot system. (is it just the layout the same but just new features or was everything re-done)?

Things I believe need prioritized (bolded) and less important updates needed in the future:

    • More 3D airports in Canada, Mexico, Central America, The Central United States, and Africa seeming how the last two continents is essentially empty, but has potential due to most aircrafts having liveries from popular airlines native to some of their countries.
    • Popular 737 variants such as the -700/-800/MAX 8, including Canadian airline liveries such as WestJet and Sunwing.
    • Regional jets such as the Embraer 190/195, and the DHC-6 Twin Otter for flying into extremely small airports like Lukla and most airports in the Caribbean.
    • Loadable fuel, cargo, baggage, and ground catering services.
    • Automated pushback so users can focus on the engine start procedures without having to worry about pushback at the same time which would even further the realism, kind of a pain in my opinion.
    • Realistic weather such as rain and snow, including de-icing trucks seeming how winter is just around the corner.
    • Updated waypoints in a lot of places such as over oceans, including longitude and latitude waypoints, kind of annoying when I've generated a whole flightplan in simbrief that includes longitude and latitude waypoints that I can't enter into the FMS.

Overall, if most of the things stated above are considered, I believe the sim could have even more potential and competition in the mobile sim industry. From past mobile simulators I've played, Aerofly FS seems to be the best one yet and I'd like to see it become even better for all users to enjoy.

  • because you requested it over and over again. how were you not able to read the room...

I didn’t see a firm response such as ”it will be possible in 3 months,” or “we won’t do it” so I wanted concrete answers. Whatever. It’ll be ignored until it won’t. I shall wait patiently until then.

chances are it has been acknowledged and will probably get added in the event of a mass addition of the other major US airports. I too would like to see Atlanta, Detroit, Dallas, Houston, St Louis, Oklahoma City etc in the sim but i dont make repeated posts every 2 days on the forum begging for them. Please just wait man

You literally quoted our reply. As far as I know we are working on adding 3d buildings to all airports on the map. So even if the airport isn't hand modeled it should have 3d buildings in the future.

  • Can you please look at fixing the United A319 livery. The grey on the bottom is way to dark compared to the real aircraft. I know it’s a hassle but it would make the plane so much better.

I’ll attest to this too, appreciate it’s probably very low in the priorities list but it does distract from what is an exceptionally realistic sim for a Mobile App when you have either outdated (retired aircraft / colour schemes), out of place as mentioned above or aircraft parked at gates which are too small for them.
