IPACS what happen...? :/



Update: Flying across the country of Italy to Innsbruck.....1/2 way across....the SIM froze and closed. Couldn't resume my flight....? This has never happened in all the time I've had FS4 since its inception.

Hello,

We have quite the selection of aircraft in Aerofly FS. However, we must note that there are not many aircraft for mid-haul flights. The B777 is suited to Transpacific flights and the B787 is quite high-capacity with an average seating load of 290-330. The A320s and B737s don't have more range than 6 hours' flight time. Shorter and less popular transatlantic and transpacific flights are not viable on large widebodies. Therefore, flights from around 3000-5000nmi that aren't too popular would work on:



A330-300: We don't have too many Airbuses

B767-300 or -400ER: Mid-capacity but cruises at only mach 0.80

B757-200WL: Decent performance but not too dissimilar to the new 737s



What do you think of a solution? (i.e. which middle-of-market aircraft is best?)

I’ve noticed sometimes something strange with ocean rendering in Aerofly FS4, and I’d like to get your opinion on it.

. It almost looks like a boundary between two different tile sources or resolutions.

I’ve already installed all available DLCs, including the satellite imagery packs, so I don’t think this is caused by missing content. I’ve also tried changing the time of day and camera angle, but the visual difference remains visible.

Could this be related to different levels of detail (LOD), or perhaps a blending issue between default ocean tiles and HD coastal imagery?

I’m just curious whether this is expected behavior, or if there’s a known way to reduce these transitions for a smoother ocean appearance.

FS2 looks well balanced when HDR is selected in Windows but with FS4 it is either a bit muddy with HDR enabled or a bit ‘soot and whitewash’ with SDR/HDR not enabled. I tried entering aerofly_fs_4.exe and its path into the Win11 graphics page’s Auto HDR app list but nothing happens. Is anyone getting Auto HDR working with FS4?

The HDR calibration is successful.

I’ve tried enabling all available beta versions on Steam, but none of them activate the 737-800 in my game. It just doesn’t show up in the aircraft list.

Unlike the release of the A35K, which triggered an immediate update in the Steam client, I haven't received the 737-800 update yet. I do own the Aircraft Addons DLC, but there's no option for the 737-800 at the moment.;(;(;(

I’ve already tried all the usual Steam options, such as verifying the integrity of game files, but nothing has changed.

Any help would be appreciated.
